| The goals for the Beach Cities Transit system are to provide community-based transit for residents and visitors that results in reduced traffic congestion and parking problems, provides convenient connections with other transit providers operating in the South Bay, initiates new transit to employment sites, encourages residents to choose transit rather than driving alone and provides exclusive paratransit service for senior and disabled residents of Redondo Beach and Hermosa Beach. Three fixed-routes provide convenient north/south service connecting the Beach Cities – Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach and El Segundo. Additionally, the service provides east/west connectivity to the City of Torrance. The WAVE senior/disabled dial-a-ride service offers convenient, inexpensive, curb-to-curb transport throughout the cities of Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach and designated satellite locations in Manhattan Beach and Torrance. o Northern Route #102 operates between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., on 20 to 45 minute headways, serving the Redondo Beach Pier, Civic Center, Redondo Union High School, Beach Cities Health District, South Bay Galleria, aerospace companies in North Redondo and the Marine Avenue Greenline station. -
Connects with Metro Marine Avenue Greenline trains to facilitate commuter trips using the County's rail system. -
Connects with Torrance Transit, Gardena Municipal Bus Lines, Lawndale Beat and Metro at the South Bay Galleria Transit Center; enabling residents to access a multitude of transit destinations throughout Los Angeles. o Southern Route #104 operates between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., on 70 minute headways and will serve the Redondo Beach Pier, the Riviera Village business and residential communities, South Torrance High School, MTA and Torrance Transit connections, and the Del Amo Fashion Center and surrounding employment area. -

Provides service to the Del Amo Fashion Plaza. o Pacific Coaster Route 109 operates between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m., on 20-40 minute headways serving the Redondo Beach Riviera Village, Pier Avenue in Hermosa Beach, Downtown Manhattan Beach, Downtown El Segundo, the Metro Aviation Greenline Station and the LAX City Bus Center. -

BCT fixed routes were designed to facilitate use of public transit for commuter work and school trips and provide an alternative to automobile travel for recreational trips. For shopping excursions to the South Bay Galleria, Del Amo Fashion Center, Artesia Blvd, Rivera Village and many destinations in between. BCT users can save money by taking transit instead of paying the high cost of gasoline or feeding local parking meters at $.25 for 15 minutes. Holiday Service Saturday service will be operated on Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, and Veteran's Day. Fixed-route service does not operate on New Year's Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
