Street Maintenance

The Street Maintenance Division is responsible for the maintenance of 127 miles of streets, 8 miles of alleys, 253 miles of curb and 6.5 million square feet of sidewalk. On the streets there are 10.901 signs, 5,120 street lights (1,892 City owned) and 55 signalized intersections.


Maintenance responsibilities include:

  • street paving
  • curb, gutter and sidewalk
  • street sweeping
  • city-owned street lights
  • traffic signal maintenance
  • traffic painting
  • bus stops and shelters
  • parking lots
  • catch basins
