Facility Name: Aviation Park Gymnasium

Description: The Aviation Gymnasium is part of Aviation Park, a 14-acre recreation facility located at Aviation and Manhattan Beach Boulevards in northern Redondo Beach. The gymnasium includes a large gym (12,000 sq. ft.), small gym (6,300 sq. ft.), dance room (1,221 sq. ft.), locker room, and restrooms. Three exercise rooms are leased to Northrup Grumman for its employee fitness program. New restrooms/locker rooms were completed in June 1993. The facility provides space for numerous recreational programs including Redondo Beach Youth Basketball, Redondo Beach Youth Volleyball, City Adult Sports Leagues, Redondo Beach Recreation Classes, Junior High dances, and special private events.

Facility Name: Aviation Park Track & Field

Description: Aviation Track & Field is part of Aviation Park, a 14-acre recreation facility located at Aviation and Manhattan Beach Boulevards in northern Redondo Beach. The lighted track and field are used for City and private events, and by the general public. The track is a clay-based, 440-yard, eight-lane running track surrounding a regulation-size football/soccer field. The park completed a project in September/2006 in which new field turf was installed on the field. A field house/restroom building is located on the south end of the track.
