The Beach Cities One Stop Business & Employment Center provides a unique variety of services to meet your business and workforce needs. At no cost to the employer, we provide access to Center facilities, staffing and downsizing assistance, training programs for new and current employees and information on tax credits.

NO COST STAFFING SERVICE
Our customers are motivated, qualified and reliable employees who are ready to work. Candidates are tested, screened and selected according to your requirements and specifications. We can screen work histories, attitudes, skill levels and interests.

We eliminate red tape and handle all paperwork required for a successful match.

There is NO charge for this service and no obligation to hire our referrals.

WORKFORCE REDUCTIONS
Prompt and convenient outplacement services are available for companies in transition.

Our NO COST services include:

Ø Rapid response to your WARN notice

Ø Assistance in designing and implementing a customized outplacement plan for all levels of employees

Ø Coordination of community resources

Ø Classroom Training- We provide a wide range of vocational & technical training programs for in demand occupations.

You Train… We Pay…

We realize that many employers prefer to train a new employee the “company way.” The Center welcomes the opportunity to pay you to train your employee by offering:

Ø ON-THE-JOB TRAINING- To help you offset the cost of training an employee on the job, the Center will reimburse a pre-determined percentage of your employee’s wages for a specific training period. Pre-screened candidates are referred to you for your selection.

Ø UPGRADE EMPLOYEE SKILLS - The Center realizes that technology is constantly changing and employers need to stay current on the latest advancements to maintain a competitive advantage. If you’re interested in upgrading employee skills, partial reimbursement of training costs is available.

Ø YOUTH INTERNSHIPS

Limited Internship – This is a federally funded program that allows youth (18-21) to be trained on the job for up to 200 hours. During the training period, the Center pays full worker’s compensation and 100% of the training wages.

SUPPORT SYSTEMS

Continuing assistance can be provided for low - income working families to ensure success in a new job.
