The Planning Division administers the City’s long-range and current planning programs, as guided by the City’s adopted General Plan and Zoning Ordinance. The planning programs provide for the types and mix of land uses necessary to serve the needs of existing and future residents, to ensure that projects are developed to achieve a high level of quality, to improve the livability of neighborhoods, and to enhance the economic health of the community. 

PLANNING DIVISION COUNTER HOURS:

8:00 AM  - 1:00 PM    Full Planning Assistance at Counter

AFTER 1:00 PM    Assistance by Appointment Only

City Hall is closed every other Friday, weekends, and holidays.

Full in-person counter service is offered by the Planning Division between 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. During this timeframe, the Planner of the Day will assist with walk-in customers to review conceptual plans, answer inquiries about planning-related issues, accept planning applications, and offer guidance regarding project submittals. Assistance is also provided via email at PlanningRedondo@redondo.org. Minor inquiries are often responded to the same day of receipt.

After 1:00 p.m., Planning Division counter services are limited to the intake of applications and providing general zoning information. This is also the timeframe when the Planners are responding to emails, reviewing application submittals, and coordinating site inspections.  Please email PlanningRedondo@redondo.org for an appointment.
